Buddh Purnima is the most important of Buddhist festivals organized in Bodhgaya. During the months of January and February the meditation institutes of Bodhgaya organize a number of conventions, special meetings and discourses. Courses and retreats are organized mainly from November to early February. These programmes are spiritually uplifting and are wonderful for peace of mind and soul. Important Buddhist religious festivals are celebrated with great fervor in Bodhgaya.
