India Buddhism BookingRajgir : 12 kms from Nalanda is Rajgir. It is also very popular pilgrimage for Buddhists, Hindus and Jains. Numerous places of interest are to be found here such as the Swarna Gufa , Griddhakuta Parvat , and Vishwa Shanti Stupa etc.

Bihar : Sharif 13 kms from Nalanda is the district headquarters called Bihar Sharif. The place is a core of Islamic architecture. The annual event of Urs is held here and the tomb of Malik Ibrahim Baya is also situated here.

BodhgayaBodhgaya : Bodhgaya is situated at a distance of 110 Kms from Nalanda. Also Very Popular pilgrimage of Buddhists. It is famous for the Bodhi temple also houses the monasteries, archeological museum and Buddhists sites.

Pawapuri : At a distance of 25 kms from Nalanda is Pawapuri. It is great pilgrimage center for Jains. Lord Mahavira took his last sermon and was cremated here. Jalmandir and Samosharan built in beautiful white marble are examples of exquisite architecture.

The ruins of the ancient Patliputra have been excavated at Kumrahar; Patna saheb is also famous for being birthplace of the tenth and last Guru of the Sikh, Guru Gobind Singh. Harmandirji consecrates his birthplace. The museum, Sanjay Gandhi Biological Park, Martyr's Memorial, Golghar and Khuda Baksh Oriental Library are other places of tourist interest at Patna.

Kundalpur : Kundalpur is situated t a distance of 1.6 Kms from the ruins of Nalanda. The degamber sect of Jains believes that the 24th and the last thirthankar Lord Mahavira was born here. The place is full of beautiful carved Jain temples.
