Day 01: Arrival at Delhi

Guests will arrive at the Delhi airport where they will be welcomed by our representative with a meticulously planned Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour with Golden Triangle.  thereafter guests will be transferred to a hotel booked previously for overnight as planned under this tour to Buddhist pilgrimages.

Day 02: At Delhi

This day after having breakfast, guests will leave by road for a full day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi visiting the majestic Red Fort , a marvel in red sandstone, Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India, both built by emperor Shah Jahan of Taj Mahal fame, Rajghat - memorial of Mahatma Gandhi & a Rickshaw ride past through the silver street in Chandani Chowk. , later sightseeing continues to visit New Delhi include Rashtrapati Bhawan, one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys; the India Gate, a memorial raised in honour of the Indian soldiers martyred during the Afghan war;
Afternoon proceed for remaining sight seeing visiting the Laxmi Narayan Temple, built by the Birlas, one of India’s leading industrial families; Humayun’s Tomb, lotus shaped Bhai’s Temple, Qutab Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty; in the evening you can visit see light an sound show at Red fort.
Evening you will enjoy the Light & Sound show at Red fort in Delhi. Evening Return to the hotel for overnight at the hotel.

Day 03: Delhi- Jaipur (265km 6hrs)

This day of the Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour with Golden Triangle is booked for a visit to the next destination- Jaipur.

At Jaipur our representative will escort you to a hotel booked previously for a night's stay.

Day 04: At Jaipur

Today after breakfast explore the Pink City with an excursion to Amber Fort, situated just outside the city, enjoy the experience of ride on elephant back to and from the top of the hill on which the fort is situated. Afternoon sightseeing tour of City Palace in the heart of Jaipur is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Not far away is the Central Museum.
Jantar Mantar is the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. The Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds was constructed for the royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being seen, all monuments are located in the vicinity of City Palace Complex of Jaipur. Day 05: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (230km 5hrs)

A drive to Agra will then follow on this day of the Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour with Golden Triangle. Post breakfast guests will drive down to Agra also paying an en- route visit to the erstwhile Mughal city of Fatehpur Sikri. At Agra guests will be accommodated in a hotel for overnight stay.

Day 06: Agra - Varanasi (Over night train)

Early morning visit to witness one of most beautiful among the seven wonders of the world: Taj Mahal with its speculative view at the time of sunrise. Taj Mahal, the architectural modern day wonder of the world; this monument is a fine example of the fusion of many architectural styles is one of the wonders of the modern world. Taj, endowed it with some of the loveliest buildings in the world.
After relaxation visit Agra Fort, designed and built by Akbar in 1565 A.D., built with barricaded wall of red sand stone; it houses the beautiful Pearl Mosque and numerous palaces including the Jahangir Mahal, Diwan-i-Khas, Diwan-i-Am, Macchhi Bhawan, Nagina Masjid, Meena Bazar, Moti Masjid, Sheesh Mahal, Musamman Burj where from Taj Mahal is visible in all its beauty from one side of the fort. So very ironically, Emperor Sahahjahan, prisoner of his son Aurangzeb in his old age was put in a cell from where he could gaze at the Taj Mahal at a distance, from his cell in the fort. One should visit Oswal Emporium where they have built a Mini Taj Mahal inside their showroom and it took 10 years for the artists to complete the mini replica of the Taj. Evening transfer to Agra railway station to board on trai for Varaasi, over night on board.

Day 07: At Varanasi

Morning arrive Varanasi railway station, our office representative will meet you and transfer you to hotel.
Afternoon will begin this Buddhist Pilgrimage Tour as the guests will visit Sarnath to view the renowned Dhamekh Stupa which has a history of being the first place where Mahatama Buddha had preached his first sermon. Over night stay at Hotel.

Day 08: At Varanasi

Dawn at Varansi will bring a celestial experience when guests will be taken for a tranquilizing boat ride at holy River Ganges.Also pay a visit to the nearby Vishwanath Temple and Bharat Mata Temple and then return to the hotel for night stay.

Day 09: Varanasi - Bodhgaya (265km 6hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive dow to Bodhgaya, arrive and transfer to hotel. After proceed for full day sightseeing of Bodhgaya, Here under the Bodhi tree (Tree of Awakening). Shakyamuni Gautama attained supreme knowledge to become Buddha, the "Enlightened One", the propounder of one of the great religions of the world. The tree that stands today is believed to have grown from the original Peepal tree under which Lord Buddha meditated.
River Niranjana in which the Buddha bathed after attaining enlightenment flows quietly outside the tiny hamlet, where the story of Prince Siddhartha ended and the saga of the Buddha began.

Day 10: Bodhgaya - Nalanda - Rajgir - Patna (190km 6hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive down to Patna. En route visit Nalanda – it is the oldest known University of the world. Although Buddha visited this place many a times in his life time, the town shot to fame much later as one of the world’s greatest and best Universities.
The excavations undertaken at the site have unearthed a huge complex of a University founded and patronized by the Gupta emperors. This university could accommodate thousands of students and teachers coming from various parts of the country to attain knowledge and study various aspects, which included Buddhism, Vedas and Vedic texts, Logic, Grammar, Languages, Theology, Astronomy, Mathematics and also medicine. The Chinese traveler Xuan Zhuang came here and stayed here as a student and as teacher later. Rajgir is 12 kms south of Nalanda on the road to Bodhgaya and is located in a verdant valley surrounded by rocky hills.
It is sacred to the memory of founders of both Buddhism and Jainism. Lord Buddha spent many months of retreat during the rainy season here and used to meditate and preach on the Griddhakuta, the hill of the Vultures. An aerial ropeway provides the link with a hilltop stupa built by the Japanese. On one of the hills is the cave of Saptparni, the first Buddhist Council was held. The Saptparni cave is also the source of the Rajgir hot water springs that have curative properties and are sacred to Hindus. Overnight at Patna.

Day 11: Patna - Vaishali - Kushiagar (265km 5hrs)

After breakfast at Patna drive down to Patna. Lunch in a midway restaurant between Kushinagar and Vaishali, "ZEN" in Chakiya. Named after the King Vishala the small town of Vaishali was ruled by the Licchhavi rulers. It is believed to be the earliest republic of the world having an elected body of representatives and an efficient administration, as early as 6th century BC.
Lord Buddha after attaining his Nirvana, and before attaining the Mahaparinirvana, preached his last sermon here, after which he announced his Mahaprinirvana to come soon. Vaishali is also believed to be the birthplace of Lord Mahavira, the founder of the Jain religion.
Arrive Kushinagar and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon proceed for sight seeing of Kushinagar. small town of Kushinagar was once the Kingdom of the Malla dynasty in the days of Gautam Buddha. It was known as Kushinara then and is one of the most important spots on the Buddhist pilgrimage trail.
It was here at the age of 80 in the 5th century B.C. that Lord Buddha breathed his last. This is also the place where Lord Buddha preached his last sermon. Overnight in Kushiagar.

Day 12: Kushinagar - Lumbini (185km 4hrs)

After breakfast drive down to Lumbini, arrive and transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed foir sight seeing of Lumbini - the birth place of the Lord on the Nepal - India border, Lumbini. It is said that mother of the Lord dreamt of a white elephant before giving birth to the child.
The temple here is known as the Maya temple and you can find the famous Ashok Pillar. Over night stay at Hotel in Lumbini.

Day 13: Lumbini - Sravasti (187km 5hrs)

Morning after breakfast drive down to Sravasti ad transfer to Hotel. proceed for sight seeing of Sravasti - Saravasti - Also known as Sahet-Mahet, are two different site''s, the main one being Sahet and about 500 meters away is located Mahet. Saravasti was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Kosala.
Here, according to legend, the Buddha confounded his critics by conjuring a miraculous million fold self - manifestation seated on a thousand petalled lotus, as fire and water emanated from his body. Over night stay at Hotel in Sravasti.

Day 14: Sravasti - Lucknow - Delhi (by train)

Morning after breakfast drive down to Lucknow to board on train for Delhi, Arrive Delhi and transfer to hotel.

Day 15: Delhi/ Dep

Moring after breakfast you will have entire day free for shopping at verious market of Old and New Delhi, evening transfer to Delhi international airport to board on flight for onward destination.
